Registration for this event is limited to 15 individuals, and only one registration per organization.
Visit the conservation workshop at Vassar College for a demonstration on how to cover materials and the main techniques for text block repair, hinge repair, and two methods of spine replacement on mostly cloth-covered books, with opportunities to practice on Vassar books.
If time allows, we will also cover creating a four-flap enclosure for books that are difficult to repair.
Please bring one item from your collection that you would like to work on.
